Sandhills Counseling Associates is proud to offer support to law enforcement officers, paramedics, EMTs, emergency room providers, and other First Responder staff in North Carolina. The founder and Clinical Director of our practice, Dr. Chauntel Summers, was the first Certified First Responder Counselor in the state of North Carolina and has been extensively trained in the culture, expectations, and specific needs of this population. Dr. Summers pursued the CFRC designation after realizing there was a lack of specialized supportive services available to first responders in the region.
In addition to session in the office, Dr. Summers can provide on-site services for First Responders, and is also certified to provide telehealth which is available by phone or via a confidential, secure video platform.
Sean Bessasparis, MSW, LCSW, also recently earned the CFRC credential and is available to do face-to-face and telehealth sessions with first responders anywhere in North Carolina.
